Guest guest
I've never used both Avonex and LDN at the same time, so the reason LDN was not working for me as well as it should have wasn't because of the Avonex. However, I will say that without LDN the past 9 months, I might be ALOT worse than I am and the progression might have been much more severe! I stopped Avonex 2 weeks before using LDN and have not used Avonex since. What you've said below is what I understood also about using the 2 together, butt sounded like it was working for some people unless I misunderstood. Copaxone or Antegren might be the right combo with LDN for me. Time will tell. I'm on steroid therapy right now and won't be taking either Copaxone or Antegren for several months after my next MRI and evaluation. I'm still quite sure than LDN is at least one of the answers for me! Thanks again for the response. If by doing it both you mean that you will try both the LDN and Avonex I would not feel right if I did not mention that you may be doing yourself more harm then good. From what I understand. You may as well not be taking anything in that case because both of those therapies will cancel each other out and it will be as if you are taking nothing. This is one thing that really puts a crimp in the whole thing because then if it does not work for you, you will be making statements that the LDN does not work and of course it would not if done concurently with one of the AB and R's. Well if that is what you choose to do then please don't make statements about the LDN not working until you give it half a chance by using it alone or with Copaxone. Oh and to all out there reading this....I ask that once you are convinced that it is helping you in the way of stopping the progression, go back to the sites or chats where you first heard of it and post a statement to that affect. I do believe that many are not taking what we are saying seriously in such places as MSWatch..etc. because we are the only ones doing the talking, therefore no one gets the benefit of finding out that it is working for more then just the few of us that are speaking out. I think what I read from your post was"I'mgonna stick with my injectables because there have not been any studiesdone". I spose we are all just reacting to feelings that we've no doubtbeen feeling for so many months that tend to put us on the defensivewhen itcomes to statements about no clinical trials...etc. I only meant thatpersonally I could care less if there are no studies done as far as mytaking it goes. I know personally that it works and would like nothingbetter then to see some studies done just so that many more could reapthebenefits from taking it. I personally have seen that it works and wouldnotneed a study done in order to take it is what I meant. That is why Ispendcountless hours online discussing and sharing information about it. Havebeen doing that for at least a year now, once I discovered for myselfpersonally that it indeed works. I think we should all spend more timediscussing this in a positive light rather then arguing with each otherandif anyone took what I said as an insult I am truly sorry. I think wehavequite a nice group of folks that come here with one common goal in mind.Itdoes sadden me when arguments happen cuz it only detracts from thecommongoal and that is to get the word out and to share info about it toanyonewho is interested. Ok who hid the chocolate???....lol. I said it needs to be studied foreveryone's sake. A study would put it out in the public eye and themedical community. Wouldn't you like all doctors to know about thismedication and its benefits? I think you misread what I said or youread someone else's post. I'm all for LDN. I even wrote to the MSaarequesting they do a study on LDN so that more can be known about itsuses plus give it more validity in the medical community._________________________________________________________________Working moms: Find helpful tips here on managing kids, home, work - andyourself. http://special.msn.com/msnbc/workingmom.armx
