Subject: [low dose naltrexone] Naltrexone held up at the border!

Hi guys just called for my refill and the pharmacist called me back and said woops we have none and the next shipment is held up at the border… I remember someone else saying not too long ago they were having troubles. My pharmacy has offered to crush the ReVia tablets and still make the pills but they had to ask my permission on that isn’t it the same? Why would they have to ask me? I asked them if it was the same theysaid yes.. but just find it odd.. and what’s with the hold up a the border… can someone who lives near the border go over and give them a kick in the @ss for me? LOL

This is what my father's pharmacist does.

Can someone explain?

Thanks

It depends if Reia is a SLOW RELEASE preparation..as far as my literature says, it's not, so it would be fine. I crush "Nalorex" (DuPont) tablets, and they work. Slow release would have too much wax, plastic, whatever inside.

We all want to know as that's what my pharmacist does, and he has to bring the revia up from Texas, I hope he brought up a large quantity last time. So if it is a lesson in futility why is it working for me ? and how much better would it work if he used Naltrexone powder ? I would love to know and once the store is open I will call him. Reg.

It's most likely being held up because of the damn FDA here in the good ol' USA. You know they have all of our best interests at heart!!!! In short, abbreviated "Big Pharma."
