Guest guest
I take Slo-Fe (ferritin supplement) and my hair began growing back. I was abysmally low in ferritin stores when tested and had to take the supplement. It was gentle on my stomach and I took it every other day til I knew how or if it would affect my gut. I do, however, get the " trots " from it - though most people do not... and in fact suffer from the opposite of not being able to go. Try the Slo-Fe (Walmart is cheapest). It will take a minimum of six weeks for you to really notice the hair coming in. No one ever discusses here, but my doc told me that low ferritin stores are very common in hypo folks. Dusty Re: Re: hair loss/ Hi Henry, Thanks very much for this information. I bought some EPO for something else, so I will start taking it. I googled " hair loss hypothyroid " and found a site that suggested evening primrose oil, ferritin, and two types of amino acid (I think L- lysine and something else) - I tried the EPO and noticed almost immediately that my scalp didn't hurt quite so much... Check it out! Hope this helps, Henry > > Hi , > > You may have already read this but in case you didn't try: stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > losing-my-hair/ > > Venizia >
