Guest guest
I was on betaseron for about 10 months when I had my last exacerbation. I had to force the neurologist to direct the test..be performed...hmm. For the test (Normal <20) ( Mild is >20 - <60 ) ( Highly Elevated >60). My test indicated 556, just a bit over 60. There was no betaseron literature in the neurologist office when I visited today. I also received three calls from betaseron reps asking why I was stopping betaseron. Has their marketing gone off target? I gave the neurologist all the data I could find on LDN, he thanked me for all the information on LDN but refused to write a prescription. He kept saying that he is very conservative using only drugs that are fully tested and previously use for a specific purpose. I stated that the dosage was 3-4.5 mg per day far below the maximum FDA approved dosage. He also consulted with another MD who had never heard of LDN and recommended against LDN. He was very firm , refusing a LDN prescription all three times that I requested a prescription. At least things are moving in the right direction in spite of the medical establishment. Interesting scenario. Glines deglines@... Why Wait? Move to EarthLink.
