Guest guest
TONY I WAS ON NOVANTRONE BEFORE I STARTED LDN. I CHOSE TO QUIT. MY PHARMACIST ( " SKIP " ) SAYS IT'S ALRIGHT TO DO THEM BOTH TOGETHER. I WAS HAVING AN ATTACK EVERY OTHER MONTH EVEN ON THE NOVANTRONE. WHEN I STARTED LDN I DIDN'T HAVE AN ATTACK WHEN I WAS SUPPOSED TO. SO I CHOSE TO STOP THE CHEMO (NOVANTRONE). IT WAS A LEAP OF FAITH STOPPING IT BUT I COULDN'T SEE PUTTING THAT BLUE STUFF INTO MY VEINS, WHEN ALL I HAD TO DO IS TAKE PILL AND BESIDES, IT WAS WORKING FOR ME WHEN NOTHING ELSE WOULD. Just my opinion. > > Marcie ========== If the chemo is out of your system LDN might help you. Maybe not as much as it would have before the Novantrone. But who knows LDN may just work fine. I've never heard of anyone using LDN after Novantrone so you would make a good test person.
Guest guest
I used Novantrone for a year...stopping this past October. I started 3mg LDN in February. Feeling good so far with small improvements. I am hoping to try 4.5 next month. cheers-- sue meier [low dose naltrexone] Re: novantrone and LDN > In a message dated 3/25/2005 2:20:02 PM Central Standard Time, > simmonslarry@s... writes:> > > > > > I took a lifetime dosage of novantrone(ended about a year ago). Guest guest
Carsten, My Neuro said Novantone would help stop progression. It is not intended to help you improve. At the beginning I had my chemo every 3 months....then I had small dosing once a month....that really made me feel awful. I live to feel the best I can each day. I would not have minded feeling sick if I noticed the novantrone doing something positive . It really did nothing for me. I chose to stop at Thanksgiving to have a happy holiday season. I was waiting to try tysabri when I came across LDN. Best to you...Sue [low dose naltrexone] Re: novantrone and LDN > In a message dated 3/25/2005 2:20:02 PM Central Standard Time, > simmonslarry@s... writes:> > > > > > I took a lifetime dosage of novantrone(ended about a year ago). Guest guest
A sharing of my Novantrone experience and LDN.... In Nov. of 2002, I initiate Novantrone. I took it for 5 treatments until February 2004. 3 months per treatment. Zofran was my Savior during that time. Now my last treatment in Feb. 2004. I was a poor candidate for Novantrone. It caused me to take a leave of absence from my professional position. A leave of absence I took to long. For when I was ready to come back to work, my employment has been terminated. So Novantrone not a positive treatment for MS. For me. I started taking LDN in Aug/Sept 2004. It has been positive, for the most part. No miraculous improvements, although slight improvement with speech. Energy, bladder control, walk, cognitive abilities...no change. So that is my report to recent conversation concerning novantrone and LDN. I retrospect, I would have NEVER taken novantrone.
