Guest guest
Hi Hope, <br>I have read that Soy is bad for the thyroid, so I avoid it. I agree with Snicker_gal, Weight Watchers is the best diet, it allows all food groups. <br><br>Are you taking thyroid meds now? If so, what are you taking? Guest guest
Does anyone know the link between soy products and hypothyroidism? I had a patient call me concerned b/c she heard in her support group from another patient that she shouldn’t eat or drink spy products. She has a h/o of hypothyroidism and drinking soy milk now b/c she is lactose intolerant post-op. When I researched the internet I found many articles talking about the negative effect of soy products on thyroid disease. I couldn’t find any studies though so I was leery about how reputable they were. Beth Whelan, MS,RD,LD Outpatient Dietitian Harbin Clinic office: (706) 378-8163 fax: (706) 238-8037 ! Guest guest
I thought these websites might be of interest because soy is a problem for us. It is difficult to find food that does not have soy in it unless made from scratch and even that may be a problem. http://www.geocitie s.com/hotsprings /4620/decoder. htm http://www.turnerzo o.net/SoyAliases .htm http://whatsupwiths oy.com/soy_ aka.html Venizia
