Just set your e-mail client to only accept plain text messages that are less than 20KB and sent directly to you. Don't accept anything else. That's what I do and I have never received a virus or worm. Occasionally I miss a few of the huge reply messages from people who can't be bothered to trim their quotes but who cares.
