Thanks, > Hi and , , I started a post to you about what my kids eat but it got cybereaten, so I will put the info in this post to both you and because it's really all the same thing here. I love to make stir-frys or stews. I saute whatever meat we're having in coconut oil (which gives it a wonderful flavor), then add any available veggies. The more water I add, it either becomes stew or soup. Last night, we had lamb/veggie soup. I sauteed ground lamb in the VCO, added onion, kale, broccoli, spinach and yellow and zucchini squash. Sprinkled a little thyme on when it was almost done. Once I made something that I have not been able to duplicate. It was beef in the VCO with butternut squash, green beans, other veggies that now escape me. But the beef in the VCO had this amazing aftertaste reminiscent of something southern Mediterranean. I've even added cinnamon to beef and veggies and have gotten good results. I just get creative with the food but it's usually meat and veggies. My dh makes a mean omelet so sometimes the kids will request that. They also eat tomatoes raw, they suck on lemons (I know, I know) and they have been allowed a few apples here and there. But I bought a 5- lb. bag of carrots last week and it was gone in ONE DAY, so I figured I'd better cut out the yeast-feeders right quick. They also like seltzer water with a couple of drops of stevia--their own 'soda pop.' Beef and eggs is another favorite. Salmon patties. The other day I took ground pork, added spices and made sausage patties. One time we had to go somewhere and I was in a rush to make breakfast. I steamed some broccoli, sauteed some ground pork and made some scrambled eggs. Mixed it all together and voila! it was really quite delicious! I don't have the time nor energy right now to make too many fancy things for my kids. They know how to use the Foreman grill to make a burger and they all know how to make eggs. And this week they have been learning how to make their own egg drink. They LOVE that. I do wonder if there are other ideas for children to eat? I know my middle son is getting bored and craves sweet stuff. Hope these ideas help you. ~Cathe
