Guest guest
My understanding was that 4000 iu a day is well within safe levels as discussed in Ashton Embry's paper at MS Direct, particularily in winter months for those of us in Northern climates. 400iu is ok but probably not enough for us. Embry's son was in a news story up here on TV, and he's taking 4000 iu per day. BTW he said he feels " 100%, better than 100% " , FWIW. He barely mentioned diet though; they kinda gave the impression the only thing he was doing for his MS was taking Vit. D when it's nearly certain he's doing the BBD and the 15 different supplements a day along with it. That said, if you really want to tweak your intake routine I believe there is a blood test that can be done that can help you keep your D at optimum levels at the Best Bet Diet site (I believe). Don't forget that your fish oil supplements have Vit. D in them too...
