Guest guest
_http://www.parathyroid.com_ (http://www.parathyroid.com) This site is for a doctor down in Tampa that does a surgery for parathyroid. I'm going to ask if my doc can test my parathyroid hormone's and see if by chance this can be my problem. I just know that I've tried lots of different things with my thyroid and I get no relief and I believe it has to be some how hormone related because it's all the same symptoms for thyroid. Guest guest
Well, my doctor won't give me armour and I have an HMO and have no choice but to go to her. She's got me on the fakey T4 and T3, which I would think would show some improvement if that was the problem at all. I just would give anything to feel gooooooood.....and not so weak and achy and to not gain any weight. Sorry bout the whinning...just having an off day and trying to look up information in hopes to find something I haven't looked at before. I do think that eating bad yesterday has had a bad effect on me today. I ate things I never usually eat like potatoes, stuffing, deserts, etc. Thanks for the book link, but I prefer to look up information from nih and places similar to that to see what studies have said about things. Also, hearing real peoples stories. I'm guessing the book talks about armour and I'd have given it a try if I could have easily gotten it, but I really don't think it's hugely different than what I've taken only because I've heard other people say they still have problems even on it. Your physical complaints are very similar to people who come to the thyroidless group who are also on a fakey T4 drug. But after they get proper treatment, their physical issues disappear. http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/how-to-find-a-good-doc Sam > > > > I was just searching medhelp message boards to see what others have > said > > about fibromyalgia and hypothyropaid and came across someone saying > that they > > thought that fibromyalgia might actually be related to the > parathyroid. Guest guest
This is what many of us consider the thyroid bible: http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com It was put together by thyroid patients FOR thyroid patients. There are a ton of references on the sight and a large bibliography. You can also read thyroid patients' stories there. You know what being on fakey T4 did for me? I got bald all over my body, I gained over 100 pounds, all but 10 of my beautiful teeth fell out, I became severely crippled and was heading towards a wheel chair, I got severe bone loss, I hurt so bad everywhere that I wanted to scream, and many more dreadful things. After suffering for 13 years in that hell, I finally found out about Armour Thyroid. I had to fight to get on it, and fight to stay on it, but I got healthy and all the horrible things I suffered thru gradually disappeared. It's ok to whine...I completely understand...I've been there. I " was " there for 13 years, , but I'm totally not anymore. I feel awesome, and healthy, have energy, and strength, and I will NEVER let anyone take my Armour away. I will fight tooth and nail to stay on it. I will NEVER go back to the h*ll I was in while taking that fakey T4 drug. You do not deserve to be going thru what you are because your doctor is close minded and uneducated about desiccated thyroid. A good doctor will do what's best for his/her patient, and obviously keeping you feeling bad is NOT what's best for you or any other human being. Just please go read the stopthethyroidmadness website. It's a website, not a book, but there is a book about the website that has the same info. Read the website and the info is at your fingertips. The book is something you can carry around and shove under your doctor's nose... By the way, here are reasons people have issues on Armour: http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/mistakes-patients-make/ Sam > > > > > > I was just searching medhelp message boards to see what others > have > > said > > > about fibromyalgia and hypothyropaid and came across someone > saying > > that they > > > thought that fibromyalgia might actually be related to the > > parathyroid. Guest guest
T4 and T3 may or may not be what you need; but as a point of information AFAIK the T4 and T3 provided in conventional medicine is 100% REAL, not " fakey " . And is also bioidentical. If anyone has contrary info please provide it. Whichever way it falls let's try to keep the facts straight as much as possible. Best, .. .. > > Posted by: " tyblossom@...
