Guest guest
Hi Chuck, I read your post to , I believe it was, where you posted about symptoms of Hyperparathyroidism and that gastric reflux was a symptom. You mention that she should have a phosphorus/phosphatase test. A couple of years back I had what my doctor thought was drug induced Hyperparathyroidism. I was taking a diuretic regularly and when I stopped taking it regularily my calcium blood levels would go back to normal. My blood calcium tests came back at the top of the range and sometime over to about 10.2. I am wondering if some of my problem (beside the Pituitary tumor) I am having might be due to hyperP. although my last test result for blood calcium was down to 9.1, I do have acid reflux, stomach pain after swallowing and my liver panel test the alkaline Phosphatase was 173 with a range of 35-104. Is this the same test that you recommended for to have done? Is the PTH the same as blood calcium test? Thanks in advance Venizia
