Guest guest
le- It is increased levels of androgens or male hormones or increased levels of steroids in your body. There are may causes. Some of them are taking excessive testosterone; taking either anabolic steroids or medical steroids; genetics; imbalances in your own sex hormones, etc. You should see your primary provider to find the cause. The treatment that is effective is laser therapy. Laser treatments will stop the hair form growing in that area. It is expensive, but it is very effective and can be permanent, depending on the type of laser used. Nancie -- What gets my goat (hairs) as in hirsutism! I am so darn tired of people thinking I have acne all over my chin and cheeks. It is from the darn hair growth there. It is making me hide more than I want to from life. I want an answer to the cause of this so I can look at treatment options. I was throwing away money on electrolysis to no real results. Can any of you reply as to causes of hirsutism and treatments you have tried or heard of out there? Ugh, le
