Guest guest
Heidi, what great news! I was hoping there would be a way for you to experience it. My sister in law bottle fed her first, and is breastfeeding . She seems so much more relaxed with . She says it's the closeness from the nursing, as well as that she's not always having to mess with sterilizing bottles. It's amazing the difference. Sending you (((((((((((((((((((enormous hugs)))))))))))))))))))), ((tiny tadpole hugs)), and all my love --- Carol [ ] Doctors Visit Date : Fri, 07 Mar 2003 13:30:07 +0400 Hi there Everyone! Well I'm feeling much more optimistic about my breastfeeding issue now! I went to see my regular doctor this morning and spoke to her about my Rheumy's opinion that I won't be able to breastfeed. She TOTALLY disagrees!! I was SO ready to put my point across after all the great info I've gotten from the all of you but I didn't need to, she was so supportive. She is adamant that we can make a plan and give me Prednisone if needed (and is willing to fight this point out with my Rheumy if necessary :-). I've been seeing her for 2 years now so she knows the whole story about how hard I've been trying for this tadpole and wants me to experience this to the full and enjoy every minute, just like anyone else! She says I'm made up of a lot more than joints and bones, there are other things to consider too! - I actually DID kiss her when I left!! I just love this doctor, she's really great (she was the one to first diagnose my RA). We're going to have a special breastfeeding consultation closer to the time (she's breastfed all three of her kids so this should be good advice!) and I know I'll be able to go to her if I'm having problems getting it right. Tonight I have the breastfeeding class of my antenatal classes, I'm going there with a far more relaxed mind than I would have before. I'm so excited about this! I get to be an Earth Mother anyway! Blllllaaaaaa RA! (don't know how to type raspberry!) I'm even making sure there's a nice clean, private spot at work if I want to extract milk when I start again ( - it's terrible being a compulsive planner hey! Lol!) Sorry about all the detail but I had to share this with you guys! Tadpole is getting more and more active, I'm totally in love! It's such an incredible feeling! Jules can even feel him/her? moving sometimes if we're patient! I have to wait till March 19th for my next gynae appt and hope that he's gotten his photo thing fixed so that I can post a picture, it's awful waiting so long to see those echography scans! I hope you are all having a bright and shiny pain-free day! Guest guest
Hi everyone, Today I saw the neurologist only to get the results of my MRI from Jan. Well as he was pointing out the scars I noticed that the MRI date was for the one I had done in Dec, 2002. The lab had sent a letter also saying nothing had changed from thefirst one so that is good news. I can;t say it was from the LDN since I have only been on it for 3 mts but I am very thankful. Now I qualify for free Copaxone or Ribiff for his clinical trials but I am not interested. He mentioned there are a few other new oral drugs on the market and I wondered if anyone else has tried them or if they would be compatible with LDN? I may be interested in oral drugs or the goat serum he mentioned but his office doesn't have a trial going on that. Since there really is no testing being done on LDN I wonder how long it will actually work?. I told him I'm doing well on it and he said he wasn't against it just he didn't know enough about it. He apparently isn't interested in learning either but said that if it becomes popular the prices will skyrocket. I wish I would have had the letter from Zil to show him what wonders this drug can do. Besides the prestige of having these trials and studies done at your clinic is there big money involved for the doctors that do this? Everytime I go there he has some new study going. Hope everybody is doing well and I am so happy for you Zil. Long
Guest guest
Deanna,That's great! I have yet to convince my gastroenterologist to prescribe it for UC but he is doing research (and I am helping him)> I printed out the Penn State Medical School Study on Crohns by Dr. Jill ? as well as Dr. Bihari's work and the info on the American Gastroenterology site. Guest guest
I agree, good luck to you Deanna...and Alison! My doctor was going to look the info over and speak to Dr. Jill but I haven't heard anything yet. The Humira has worked somewhat but I think the probiotics I take are helping a LOT for my Crohn's. I am scared that once I get off the Humira (can't be on it when on LDN) I may have a major flare.... low dose naltrexone From: alison.936@...Date: Tue, 27 Jan 2009 13:07:06 -0500Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] Doctors visit Deanna,That's great!
