Guest guest
Release to President Bush, various representatives and senators and over 300 media outlets in the midwest. Please write the Whitehouse and Your Representatives. If you want to create jobs, try creating jobs in the "basic medical research" area to increase the chances of developing "cures" and "preventions". If we can develop more "cures" and "prevention's", total healthcare costs of $1.65 trillion will be reduced. Today, doctors are relying more on "palliative" treatments which is expensive. For example, people with MS pay $1000 to $1500 per month for "palliative" treatments consisting primarily of the "ABCR" drugs. Creating jobs in "basic medical research" will result in huge rewards for chronically ill people as well as our nation. In the long term, medical costs will be reduced, quality of life will improve for millions of people, dependency on other people for financial support minimized and productivity of our people resources increased proportionately. It's a win/win/win for the chronically ill, our families and our national economy. In 1999, NIH spent only $13.5 billion. When you compare that expenditure with one corporation, Intel which spent $7 billion and employed 12 thousand people in R & D, the NIH expenditure of $13.5 billion is trivial. Considering the resources at the disposal of our country, $100 billion would be reasonable, if we could develop "cures" and "prevention's" for over 400 neurological diseases and almost 100 million people who have a chronic illness.
