Guest guest
Hi, all. I went to a new hospital to have blood work. And found that they use electro chemiluminescence immunoassay to test FTs/TSH, which is different from my previous hospital. Their machine is ROCHE Modular Analytics E170. I noticed that many recommend 3rd generation of TSH to have more accurate readings. Does it belong to 3rd generation or even 4th? Following are my new lab results. they are all in .000 other than ..00. BTW, I have taken 50 mcg of T4 for 6 weeks. So it is anticipated that I increment a dose of 25 mcg for balancing TSH, right? Sensitive TSH 6.100 mIU/l (0.270-4.200) FT4 16.680 pmol/L(12.000-22.000) FT3 4.630 pmol/L (3.100-6.800) TPOAB >600 Iu/mL (0.00-34.00)---why don't specify the level? TGAB 30.05 % (0.00-30.00) tested by RIA in another machine Following are my previous lab results, which do you think they are less precise/accurate for their testing method? I don't know what method they are using. FT3 4.42 pmol/L (2.5-6.5) FT4 17.48 pmol/L (11.5-23.2) TSH 6.02 mIU/l (0.35-5.5) rT3 0.12 ng/mL (0.2-0.64) TPOAB before treatment 1000.00 IU/ml (0-35) So do you think I should go to the newly visited hospital to have better tests? Does the .000 other than .00 matter much? However, their results for TPOAB seems not accurate, just >600? Thanks Fragrance
Guest guest
Hi Fragrance, That TSH is still far too high and that is the problem which needs to be addressed- over 90% of healthy folk have a TSH of around 1.0 insist on a dsoe increase until that point is reached then review. New more accurate testing is all very well, but the results taking notice of or there is not point. thyroid treatment From: fragrance_seen@...Date: Mon, 6 Oct 2008 11:34:36 +0000Subject: The different lab test methods and new results Hi, all.
