Guest guest
Chuck, Do you have any related information that would be more current? > > > > I take it you've found some interesting stuff there? > > Yes, but a bit dated. > > Chuck >
Guest guest
Hi again, Chuck! So this 'would' be a good source for me to read in its entirety to get a good grasp of all the related aspects presented within this particular source? > > > > Do you have any related information that would be more current? > > > > The part I thought was dated was the discussion of diagnostic tests, which have advanced quite a bit since the uptake index was widely used. That tells me some of the other information has probably been superseded as well. There are plenty of web sites around that give the current tests and their capabilities. > > The date of the latest revision of that particular chapter was 2000. The Chapter on thyroid assays (6A) was more recent, 2006, and it included the more recent information about diagnostic tests. > > Chuck >

In the sense that it is technically correct and mostly pretty current, yes. However, it is technical writing, which might make it hard to follow. It might occasionally be misleading, if you can't interpret the details. Chuck
