Guest guest
I assume you are undertreated on Armour b/c docs do not know how to Rx it. also when you are properly treated you won't need lexapro/wellbutrin ( being up at 3:30 a.m. wired can also be low adrenal. Do you take a good B vitamin? Gracia Hi, I've only been treated for a hypothyroid condition for 3 months or so, but I've noticed some pretty radical energy swings. I've just been tested for hashi's but don't know the result yet. Anyway, I was up at 3:30 this morning, wired. This happened to me about 3 months ago when I first started taking Armour. It was kind of nice to be up this morning. Chores got done. I felt great and all was well with the world, but if it follows the same pattern as last time, I will be worn out and grumpy in a couple days. The only thing new is that I've been started taking selenium, 200 mcg/day. Oh, and about a week ago I switched from lexapro to wellbutrin. This is the first day that I've been wired though. Any thoughts? Thanks, -MIke ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ No virus found in this incoming message. Checked by AVG. Guest guest
Hi Gracia, I am at 2 grains now, but the doc only prescribed 1. Most of the time I'm tired and sleepy, until I get wired like this. Happens only about once every 3 months. I do take a good B vitamin and additional B6/Folate/B12. Since I've got " pernicious " anemia, I also take B12 shots. The iron is low too, but they told me not to supplement that yet. May tell them to get stuffed and do it anyway. Thanks, -Mike Gracia wrote: > > I assume you are undertreated on Armour b/c docs do not know how to Rx it. also when you are properly treated you won't need lexapro/wellbutrin ( > being up at 3:30 a.m. wired can also be low adrenal. Guest guest
That's OK, I've got plenty of chores piled up from all the time that I've been feeling like crap. I need about a month of these wired days to get caught up, but the price is way too high. In a few days I'm going to crash really hard. lmneedham wrote: > > > > Yeah, come and do MY Housework. > > > > > > > Hi, > > > > I've only been treated for a hypothyroid condition for 3 > > months or so, but I've noticed some pretty radical energy > > swings. Guest guest
Do you like iron-rich foods such as liver? If you increase those in your diet they must surely have a beneficial synergistic effect? Rather than supplementing with rat poison, which I believe is the other use for some of these ferrous products. > > > > I assume you are undertreated on Armour b/c docs do not know how to Rx it. also > when you are properly treated you won't need lexapro/wellbutrin ( > > being up at 3:30 a.m. wired can also be low adrenal. Guest guest
I think how nice it would be to live on the ceiling. Nothing to do up there but be in a clear and empty space. And so long as one didn't look UP...one would never notice the mess accumulated on the OTHER ceiling. > > > > > > Hi, > > > > > > I've only been treated for a hypothyroid condition for 3 > > > months or so, but I've noticed some pretty radical energy > > > swings. Guest guest
Wow, that's an interesting bit of trivia! I will see if I can choke down some liver. I'm sure that it is much tastier than rat poison. lmneedham wrote: > > > > Do you like iron-rich foods such as liver? Guest guest
Something to do with blood thinning, I think. For general clearing out the blood of dead protein and minor thinning I use Serralone. (an enzyme found in silk worm saliva for cutting a way out of their cocoons)and EXCELLENT for combating inflammation, pain and edema etc. Can get it all over the net so am not imposing a product I have any interest in more than as a consumer of. here is something of what it is useful for, as I am in the UK you will need to find your own if you like the idea. http://www.detoxyourworld.com/acatalog/serralone.html > > > > > > > > I assume you are undertreated on Armour b/c docs do not know how > > to Rx it. also > > > when you are properly treated you won't need lexapro/wellbutrin ( > > > > being up at 3:30 a.m. wired can also be low adrenal. Guest guest
Thanks for that! I do have a problem with inflammation and c-reactive protein so I'll be adding this straight away. lmneedham wrote: > > > > Something to do with blood thinning, I think. > > > For general clearing out the blood of dead protein and minor thinning I > > use Serralone. Hashi's is notorious for cyclic intensity, so that is the most likely cause of your swings. Selenium is important for T4/T3 conversion, so that could contribute also. Both Lexapro and Wellbutrin will make people drowsy and lethargic, so an effective decrease in dose during your transition could also be responsible. They have similar elimination half lives and time to reach full concentration but VERY different mechanisms. Lexapro is a selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitor. Wellbutrin does not inhibit MAO or serotonin re-uptake but blocks uptake of norepinephrine and dopamine. Depending on your system, these could have very different effects, especially on your ability to sleep. Chuck
Guest guest
I think in general anti-depressants are bad. Do you plan on getting off of them? As far as the energy goes, it sounds like it has its down side with waking so early. When do you take your Armour? My guess is that the wellbutrin is giving you nervous energy. Guest guest
Hi CW, Sure, I plan on getting off of them as soon as possible. My docs are adjusting all the major hormones at once so I want to wait until things stabilize. Apparently I've got a screwy pituitary gland. Who knows, maybe it is the culprit, but I'm leaning towards hashi's because of the sore and swollen glands in the neck. I'll find out in a couple weeks. If it is hashi's, I wonder what sets it off? I take most of my Armour first thing in the morning, with an additional 1/2 grain around lunch. That seemed to be the best combo for making it through the afternoon without caffeine and getting to bed at a decent hour. It may be the Wellbutrin, but it seems odd that it would kick in at 3:30 in the morning when I take it at about 6:00 in the morning. Thanks CW, -Mike CW wrote: > > I think in general anti-depressants are bad. Do you plan on getting off of > them? Guest guest
My doc is out of network, so she is doing what she can to save me money on the expensive scans and tests. I'm sure that I will have that and the arginine stim test soon. May have to make payments on them, but it is better than feeling like this. Guest guest
Just because she is out of network doesn't mean that the insurx co won't pay for the MRI. All she has to do is schedule it at a facility that is part of your network. As long as she writes a good treatment authorization request that justifies the need for an MRI- the insurance will cover it.
