Guest guest
Hi, I am new to this group and I am really glad there is a place like this. I get extremely frustrated with my problems. Here's the deal, I am a female and will be 27 in August, I have an underactive thyroid, make that a MAJOR underactive problem normal levels are like .5 mine are more like 112. My doctors have never been able to regulate it. I had radiation therapy in April of 98' and quickly went underactive I went from 105 ibs. to now 200ibs. I gained roughly 10-15 pounds per week. I have a will be 4 year old in July and an almost 7 year old When I was pregnant was the only time I lost weight ironically it was easy to lose 40 ibs as soon as I had my last baby only to gain it back after my levels went out of wack again, I am drained drained drained. All I want to do is sleep. This has affected my life considerably I feel like someone 2 times my age. I am a daycare teacher I can barely keep up there chasing 2 year olds all day and them come home to cook clean and bathe for my two kids. What I am trying to get at is, I have heard about the thyroxine, thyax, and alvidar and researched to know that they are safe to take, but I did not know if any of these were effective. (I now the Thyrin ATC did nothing for me) I exercise and eat pretty healthy also. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Billie
