Guest guest
Anyone knows that 24 hour urine test for Cortisol can take place of saliva test or not? In my region, there is no saliva test but 24 hour urine test. Would the results be accurate for diagnosing Adhernal Fatigue? I have had 3 times of blood test for Cortisol, and everything is fine, but I am afraid that the results are not for Free Cortisol. Guest guest
The 24 hour urine test is a urine test for cortisol. There is also a 24 hour Salvia test for cortisol. -- 24 hour urine test for Cortisol? Anyone knows that 24 hour urine test for Cortisol can take place of saliva test or not? Guest guest
The blood cortisol test is worthless. Both 24 hour tests are very accurate for diagnosing adrenal problems. Especially adrenal fatigue. Nancie -- 24 hour urine test for Cortisol? Anyone knows that 24 hour urine test for Cortisol can take place of saliva test or not? Guest guest
hi i have done the 24 hour urine test and fear it is a rather blunt instrument for testing adrenal fatigue. the problem is that it gives you an average level for the day, thereby missing out on possible high and low levels during that day. the benefit of the saliva test is it gives you readings at 4 intervals throughout the day. paul
Guest guest
You don't need a 24 hour urine test for Cortisol, you need the 24 hour saliva profile. They send you four little test tubes with four straws. When you wake in the morning, you put one straw in one of the test tubes and spit down the straw until you have more or less filled up the test tube (they are onlysmall) and then you mark it for the time of day, You do this again, four hours later, and then again four hours after that, and then you do your last one when you go to bed. Your cortisol and DHEA are all different at these times, so they will draw a graph to show the normal range, and your graph will be shown alongside that. It is the best adrenal profile test you can get. Luv - sheila Anyone knows that 24 hour urine test for Cortisol can take place ofsaliva test or not? Guest guest
HI Fragrance, I don¹t think it can replace the test. I am actually submitting my 24 hour cortisol test today but I had it done to back up what the saliva tests show. They each show different types of cortisol as I understand. The blood and urine is the ³free² cortisol and I am pretty sure the saliva is more cellular related. You can get the saliva test online at canaryclub.org The 24 hour test taskes an ³average² of what your body does in 24 hours where as the saliva shows what it does at 8 am midday evening and bedtime which is much more specific and can show where your highs and lows are, the 24 hour test cannot. sue On 9/24/08 4:07 AM, " fragrance_seen " <fragrance_seen@...> wrote: > > > > > Anyone knows that 24 hour urine test for Cortisol can take place of > saliva test or not?
