Since Iodine has been a 'hot' topic of discussion, some are already

trying Iodine therapy, and others are considering it, I want to be

sure you don't miss this study...it is independent of those purported

to be 'controversial', 'quacks' etc. (mind you, I haven't made my

mind up yet). To be 'Fair and Balanced', I have ordered Dr.

Brownstein's book and will be reading it too. I have read hundreds,

maybe even a thousand articles articles this past 2 weeks

(especially--and am also reading several books). I prefer

'documented' statements when I am on a research project, which is what

I consider myself to be right now. I also believe in taking advantage

of science and when the capability is there, using labs to test and

confirm a hypothesis, and/or identify risks with a desired experiment.

Sometimes those costs are prohibitive, in which case, I will also

educate myself as to every aspect, possible outcome, and preventive

measures need to be in place, First! With that in mind, here is

another research project, independent of 'iodine sales'...it also

includes other nutrients if you care to investigate further.

As some of you are aware, my youngest daughter had acute renal failure

the end of January into February. The doctors said the ONLY reason

she survived is because she's so young her kidneys were able to start

functioning again with the 'proper' support. They also said she will

always be at an extreme risk for this to happen again. Through my

research this morning, I came across an article that makes a possible

connection between hypoThyroid and acute renal failure if a person

isn't converting T4 to T3, yet will not show up on the TSH test; not

converting to T3 seems to be part of the puzzle of how hypoT affects

those family members already diagnosed, as well as myself...so maybe,

beyond doctors and specialists saying they don't know what caused

this...but an infection had developed in her kidneys...maybe we'll get

to the root of the problem; maybe we won't...if not, I'll keep

searching! Also, over the past several months, her throat has been

swelling larger and larger...as my middle daughter said, " She has

swollen glands in the front of her throat Mom! No matter what she

does, or the treatment the doctors put her on, she keeps getting sick

and her glands keep getting bigger. " She's a beautiful 20 year old

girl, now...I don't want her to have to reach an extreme like I did,

nor any of my other kids, for that matter to get the right treatment.

I suppose over time, you'll hear about the medical complications of

all 4 of my kids, which I'm coming to believe are so severe because I

was undiagnosed and therefore untreated, even though suspected, not

even tested, hypothyroid before, throughout and after my

pregnancies...and maybe, had I been diagnosed and treated, my 1st baby

might have lived!
