Guest guest
Just thought I would share a couple of things: My NHS endocrinologist treats outside the 'normal' range - by the GMCs reckoning he is probably 'impaired' in his fitness to practice too! One GP told me that what many docs dont understand is that the 'normal' range for TSH is a reference range which is 95% accurate - which therefore statistically means that 5% of hypothyroid patients have results inside the reference range (though I would argue this depends on the control population the range was developed from - which could have been flawed). I havent needed to use this explanation as Im now on treatment, but I think it would be a good one to use - I think its unscientific of them to consider that everyone of us is normal and they know (the docs) that in science rarely is something 100% for everyone! His (the GPs) opinion was that most docs are just ignorant and think they know all about hypothyroidism! Gill

XXOO Gracia Thank you Gracia, life is great at the moment, now I am all loved up! My man is so sweet to me! My health is great too at the moment, apart from an occasional bout of shortness of breath. What made me fall for my guy was the instant he knelt down and rolled a pair of socks onto my feet, because I told him they felt a bit cold!! I fell in love with him there and then!!! Hope everyone is enjoying a good day, and even better good health, Val

Guest guest
Hi nne Dr Gordon B Ski8nner 22 Alcester Road Moseley Birmingham Tele: 01214 498895 Sorry not to have got back to you before but Dr Peatfield is using my office at a consulting room and I have to wait to get at my computer. Good luck Luv - Sheila I am desperately trying to get hold of Dr Skinners details as I wish to make an appointment with him. My GP is insisting that I see a consultant who can monitor me and my treatment with armour, he is refusing me any more prescriptions until this happens and it has to be a registered doctor or I would go see Dr P. I need his address and telephone number a.s.a.p. please so that I can make an appointment with my GP and get him to refer me, I know that I cannot see Dr Skinner without a referral. Many thanks in sincere hope. Luv nne AOL Email goes Mobile! You can now read your AOL Emails whilst on the move. Sign up for a free AOL Email account with unlimited storage today. Guest guest
No he doesn't Lynne - he only treats patients privately. He has to have a referral letter from a patient's GP also. I have sent you the list of doctors who are 'good' though we cannot always vouch for their bed side manner. However, there are some good one's in your area. I have sent this list to you privately,. Luv - Sheila Can anyone tell me if Dr Skinner still treats patients under the NHS please? I am not going to give up now that my GP has told me my T3 is low as I am almost certain the increase in Lthyroxine is not going to do much if any good at all. My Doctor is willing to listen, which is a fantastic step foreward, but I want to be referred to someone willing to prescribe Armour and do ALL of the necessary tests to find out exactly what is wrong, ie adrenal fatigue. So, if Dr Skinner does actually treat through NHS, I will be asking my Doctor to refer me to him under the choose and book rule. Thanks for any information, Lynne No virus found in this incoming message.
