Guest guest
Hi All, I just started on naltrexone 2 weeks ago but I was taking 25mg because I didn't know of a compounding pharmacy. In that two weeks my ON improved 95%, my pain improved 99% , my balance is better too. It hasn't helped the numbness much yet. I finally found a compounding pharmacy and I am down to 4.5mg. I had to get it down because my head felt like when your foot goes to sleep and wakes up and you have all the pins and needles in it. Doctor said it sounded like my neurons were firing up again. I forgot to say my fatigue is all gone. This has been the best I felt in 5 years so I am hooked on it!! I hope it just keeps improving. I was on a fast downward slope and have started on the trip back up. I just can't believe it has been in use this long and I just found out abaut it!! Hope everyone keeps improving. Have a good day. I'm still one of the newbies here, only been on the ldn since the 11th of Dec., but i've been very fortunate in the belief that not only is this halting/stopping my disease progression, but I've had some of that remarkable relief from some of the symptoms. headache, gone, 2 1/2 years of migraines, wow! brainfog, pretty much cleared up, can almost think straight again, dizziness/vertigo, pretty much gone, balance, not bad, not bad. Burning pain/sensations and stabbing pains, very mild. Legs are still weak, but can walk unaided now. need to strengthen them back. Been taking Tai-Chi classes, and it was helping even before taking the ldn but not as dramatically. We, (wife & I) sat through the whole 3 hours of "The Return of the King" at the Movies and I didn't have to get up to "rush" to the bathroom once. On top of all this, when I went to see my neuro last week...she wasnt really impressed. She says she's glad it "appears" to be helping me, but she thinks it's just a Placebo effect. She did renew my prescription for me, I'll give her that. Ignorance and Apathy....I don't know, and I don't care, as long as it "appears" to be working, I'm going to stick with it. Just hope everyone here has positive results from it as well. Thank You again to everyone for all your posts and keeping us up to date on what it is doing for you. As Tiny Tim said, May God Bless Us, Everyone. (or something like that) Jim
Guest guest
Hi Cap'n, I am assuming you have MS. If that assumption is correct, you may find some helpful hints in treating your fatigue and weakness at http://tinyurl.com/grpm9 With best wishes, Dudley Delany dudley_delany [low dose naltrexone] LDN: My my...who would have ever thought...this silly little pill could do so much. I sure didn't. I thought my life as I knew it was over. Little did I know. Four years today, no further progression and an 'almost' complete turnaround of symptoms. Thanks again to all the 'old timers' from back then that encouraged me to try this. Still have the fatigue and weakness. Nothing I've tried seems to do anything much for those two, plus the heat intolerance but other than that...life is good! To anyone still sitting on the fence, I would urge you to read as much as you can about this, and then take a leap of faith and try it. Can't hurt, and just might help. Spread the word! :-) Now..back to my cave... Cap'n Caveman
