Guest guest
The doctor who diagnosed my hypothyroidism almost 2 years ago and put me on Synthroid - long story - and thought iodine was poison and Armour dose was fine at 30 mg daily told me that the reason I hurt all over and was tired was CFS/fibromyalgia and referred me to a rheumatologist. As I sat there telling him what I thought of the diagnosis of CFS/fibro being a " garbage can " diagnosis and the thing doctors use when they don't know what else to do, he took out his prescription pad and was writing " PRO... " I saw it and said " And I am NOT suffering from an acute Prozac deficiency! " He put the pad in his pocket and looked at me with shock. I fired him, got a different doctor who put me on 50 mg of iodine/iodide and a larger dose of Armour. I felt SO much better within a few weeks. I went from falling asleep while reading out loud to my boys and not being able to drive myself to a doctor's appointment 45 minutes away to going on a trek to the U.P. to visit my parents (6 hour drive one way) and while there going on a day trip to Mackinac Island where we RENTED BIKES and rode around the island. My two boys, ages 10 and 11 at the time, were pooped and wanted to turn in the bikes but I was ready to go up the hill to the other things to see. Iodoral and Armour have probably saved my life. When I was put on Synthroid my husband woke me up at night at times because he said I had stopped breathing while asleep. I had become so weak that I had to use two arms and rock like an old lady to get out of a chair. You have my permission to send this to anyone that needs to read it. My labwork was " fine " too, for over 20 years, but I had symptoms of hypothyroidism that were not recognized as such because doctors are taught differently now than they were 60 years ago. I am a registered nurse and still didn't recognize my cold hands and other symptoms as hypothyroidism. > > -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Internal Virus Database is out of date.
