Guest guest
Neil, I was just diagnosed Vit. D Deficient - blood level of 20. Doc wanted me to take 50,000 IU for 6 weeks and be seen again. HOWEVER, when I got to pharmacy and got patient insert - the pills have yellow dye (I'm allergic) and soybean oil. I can't use them because of the dye, but wouldn't the soybean oil be a problem for all of us? Do you know if I can use the dry Vitamin D OTC and try to get as much of that into me as possible? Dusty - P.S. sorry if this is a duplicate - the first time I sent it didn't come thro on my computer. \ RE: Re: TSH test and iodine Actually a person really needs blood testing to be sure. The proper test is the 25-hydrox-D test. If you cannot do testing, taking 2,000iu of an oil based D3 gel cap will not harm you. But I found out that I needed far more, it takes 6,000iu daily for my blood level to get to 50ng. It takes 4,000iu daily for my wife to reach the same level. Dr. (has a blog) tests every one of his patients, some take as little as 2,000iu, some take in the 12-14,000iu daily to reach optimal levels! http://heartscanblo <http://heartscanblog.blogspot.com/search/label/vitamin%20D> g.blogspot.com/search/label/vitamin%20D Vitamin D is a fat soluble prohormone, too little is bad and too much is bad. But when you get it right all sorts of good things happen...up to 70% reduction of cancers, less coronary artery disease, far fewer colds and flu, etc. If you have the time this video is fantastic... http://wildhorse. <http://wildhorse.insinc.com/directms13oct2005/> insinc.com/directms13oct2005/ Neil ________________________________ Recent Activity * 16 New <hypothyroidism/members;_ylc=X3oDMTJldm5ybWh1B F9TAzk3MzU5NzE0BGdycElkAzE0NTY2NARncnBzcElkAzE3MDkyNTEwODIEc2VjA3Z0bARzbGsDd m1icnMEc3RpbWUDMTE5OTg4MTcyOQ--> Members Visit <hypothyroidism;_ylc=X3oDMTJkbmYwaDFqBF9TAzk3M zU5NzE0BGdycElkAzE0NTY2NARncnBzcElkAzE3MDkyNTEwODIEc2VjA3Z0bARzbGsDdmdocARzd GltZQMxMTk5ODgxNzI5> Your Group Get <http://us.ard./SIG=12nddtbr0/M=493064.12016247.12445656.10478265/D =grphealth/S=1709251082:NC/Y=/EXP=1199888930/A=4617369/R=0/SIG=11uofhk5 p/*http://advision.webevents./cancersupport/index.html> cancer support Connect w/ others find help & share Healthy Cooking on <http://us.ard./SIG=12mehcr7c/M=493064.12016231.12445647.9706571/D= grphealth/S=1709251082:NC/Y=/EXP=1199888930/A=4836034/R=0/SIG=11n53k6s3 /*fruitabuparents/> A place for parents to share their ideas. Guest guest
I'm probably about as anti-soy as anyone on the list; but I doubt the soy in a pill or two a day would have too much effect. We all get lots of poisons most days; just not in levels that are immediately harmful. Even from the " natural " fruits and vegetables you eat. And I've read that soy is in about 60% of the items on your supermarket shelf; and quite a number of them with no label info at all.
