Michele:

You are truly a hero in your strength and spirit; especially during such a

hard and difficult time. I had a downs syndrome cousin and I know exactly

what you are talking about with their smile and positive thoughts. I feel

they were heaven sent to show us the pure love and truth God wants for all of

us. They are blessed children with the imprint of heaven on their face.

Your post made me feel so humble in my selfish thoughts over the past few

days. I have been whining and whining and to think of what you are going

through, makes me feel benevolent. Good Bless you and your family.

Lovingly,

Jeannette

Michele,

You are remarkably strong and have incredible faith. It's amazingly wonderful

that you gave Al's

eulogy and that it was " awesome. " I'm not sure if I were in your position that I

could even function

in the most basic ways, much less speak to my community about my son's life,

death, and rebirth.

Brava! Somehow I think Al was helping you, too.

That's such a charming story about you and the young lad at Wal-Mart. The phrase

" peace on earth "

will have a new meaning for me from now on.

Thank you for writing what you did. Please take care.

> Dear all, Thanks so much for all of your encourgagement and wisdom; I love

you all and so much

appreciate it; I am still in a state of disbelief but know I have to be strong

for my little 7

year old who has down syndrome; She knows her brother is gone and her needs

come first; I

mustcarry on with lifeand christmas; it was Al's time to go with the Lord and

nothing could of

prevented it; We must be strong; I am flaring today and so lifeis back to

normal ( teehee) Al

loved laughter and so do I ; it comes naturally; He made me laugh; I will miss

that; is

sick with an upperespitory infection so I have my hands very full as usual; I

guess that is what

God intended for me; a life full of children; I haven't had much time to do

anything but get thru

each day and it isn't easy; I went to the walmart for a few things yesterday

and saw a young man

with down syndrome and I asked him how he was; He had a beaming smile on his

face when I asked him

how he was doing? and he said with such joy " perfect " then he said " Peace on

Earth " ..... To me

that is asign; everything will be okay and he was my angel for the day; God

sends ,me messengers

and angels everyday to get thru the hardships; that is the only way I can get

thru things: without

my faith it would be harder; I gave al's eulogy and it truly was awesome as

people told me; I

didn't writeit; the Holy Spirit helped me and Jesus carried me thru all of last

week; I couldn't

of done it without Jesus; I want to say I am Roman Catholic and I hope I don't

offend anybody by my

spirituality; it is not intended; Now it is the Christmas season: one of the

holiest and blessed

seasons of the year: i am trying to do the christmas things now for elisa; I

love christmas so

will have lights, music, and church; after all, Al is in heaven celebrating

his first Christmas

with Jesus; with this knowledge I am at peace; God bless you all and have a

good day; I will pray

forall of us to have a pain free weekend ; or less pain; whatever GOD

> wills forus: thanks michele in houston

Michele- you are a woman of incredible faith and you

don't know how much you enrich others when you share it.

Never worry about offending - when others share faith it

serves as a challenge or comfort - either way it is a

good thing and makes others take stock. You and your

family are held in prayer in a special way right now.

Bless you,

To everyone who took the time to write me back " thanks " . The overwhelming

response was all the same, which was don't wait, go for it. It was exactly

what I needed.

,

I intend on asking my neuro

for LDN at my next visit. I know he

is all for alternative treatments as long as they are not harmful so I’m

sure he will not have any problems giving me a script for LDN as long as he

knows about it. That is something I

can not say so I will be armed with all the information on LDN that I can find

just in case. I actually would be shocked if he didn’t

know about it. Go for it !
