Hello Everyone,

I am writing to update you on my progress with the LDN book. I became ill in December with something that was very much like the flu. It really flattened me for a while, but I am feeling better now and ready to get back to business. I am pleased to say that my dad remains healthy on 4.5 mg LDN and celebrated his 89th birthday on January 17th. So, while I was unable to proceed at the rate I had planned, the project is still a very high priority for me. Thank you to one and all who either sent me their testimonial or permission to use one already sent to the group. If anyone else would like to send me their LDN success story, I welcome it. To protect your privacy, I will follow the same format of the testimonials that appear on the LDN web site, that only uses the first initial of the person's first name.

I find it so exciting to read about the LDN conferences in Ireland. I realize they are being sponsored by the MS society, and, please correct me if I am wrong, the Irish government pays for healthcare, unlike in the US where individuals are responsible to have insurance and pay for their own healthcare. Although our systems are very different, I thought it would be interesting to see if members of the LDN group, from a variety of illnesses, would like to participate in some LDN campaigns to raise awareness and interest in LDN. My suggestion include: Write your congressman/senators, contact your local newspaper/radio/television station with your LDN success story, and, if interest is strong enough, I would love to hold an LDN conference here in the Washington, DC area. I suggest the DC area because it is home to our elected officials and NIH, NCI, etc. and thus we could address the clinical trials aspect and the source of funding through our presence. An LDN Conference, properly publicized, could also serve as the launch pad for the LDN Book and how to obtain it for those who do not have a computer and internet access.

I hope 2004 is treating you well and look forward to what this group can accomplish this year.

Best Regards,

Sedlock
