Guest guest
My Dad's chemist uses corn starch as a filler. I think it is quite common. in Australia ----- Original Message ----- From: " lindafahrbach " <Lee@...> <low dose naltrexone > Sent: Saturday, February 14, 2004 4:41 AM Subject: [low dose naltrexone] Cornstarch filler > Is cornstarch a good filler? Guest guest
Cornstarch is fine, unless you are allergic to corn. I switched from cornstarch to calcium concentrate and now am using lactose, and I love it. All fast release fillers are ok....your choice. Love, SallyC. Guest guest
Cornstarch would not be expected to cause any problems. Guest guest
A filler is used to bulk up the vedicine to make it easier to fill the capsule up. ----- Original Message ----- From: Sims low dose naltrexone Sent: Monday, February 16, 2004 1:30 PM Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] Cornstarch filler Can anyone tell me what a filler is used for? Guest guest
They put fillers in to bulk up the capsule so it doesn't fall apart when they are in a bottle. A half full capsule could become crushed on one side and fall apart and the medicine would end up in the bottom of the bottle.
