natural supplements and smoking

Hello! I have two questions. One is, does anyone know what supplements

(vitamins, minerals, etc.) can help boost the thyroid naturally.

My second question is, has anyone out there quit smoking WITHOUT

gaining weight? I continue to hear about the weight gain that comes

after quitting, but my hopes are that this will not happen to me

because of the fact that I smoke only three to four cigarettes a day.

Any answers please?

You can buy about a zillion things to boost your thyroid " naturally " .

The only well established result is a significant lightening of your

wallet. You have to have T4 to live. If you don't make it then you will

need to take it. And don't wait until you get into a myxedema coma

before you start because there's some anecdotal evidence that the

problems that some people have in obtaining relief from symptoms of

hypothyroidism may be related to the period of time for which they do

not receive proper treatment.

The opinions of others may vary depending upon what they're selling and

their religious view! [ggg]

I wish you luck in your smoking cessation efforts, but I can't answer

your questions.

Best,
