Guest guest
Chuck, Does this make sense to you. This is from Janie at the Natural Thyroid group. Judging by my symptoms, it does make sense to me but what do I know.. Venizia, certain symptoms like sweating reduce when you lower the Armour because you are also lowering the amount of thyroid hormones which are pooling in your blood. But don't confused that fact with thinking they are also now getting to your cells. They aren't. It's like pouring water into a sink with a closed drain. If you turn the water down (i.e. reduce the Armour), the sink won't be as full of water. But either way, it's a sink with a closed drain. Either cortisol which is too low, or cortisol which is too high, prevents thyroid hormones from being received correctly by the thyroid receptors on each of your cells. There is less conflicting information than you realize. Everything you read on the adrenal info page on STTM is based on thousands of folks who have gone through it, Venizia. When they have a high free T3 in the presence of continuing symptoms, they do the 24 hour saliva cortisol test, and voila--there' s the low cortisol (and in some, too high cortisol). No one will bite your head off. But we will only hit our heads against the wall so long. lol.
