Guest guest
Jecca, As you well know, it is a slow steady process to restore health to the adrenals. And of course, since our endocrine system is on a feedback loop - our adrenals aren't all that's affected. My thyroid has suffered too and now I can tell when my sx are thyroid or adrenal related. Do you know what happened to your adrenals? Mine was not yeast related. That came later but was surely halting any progress I was making to get well and heal my endocrine system. I was given a prescription of xanax after several life stressors left me ....well, stressed out. I had no idea how addictive it was or that it would shut down parts of my body that are vital to its functioning! After it effectively trashed my endocrine system - I had to withdraw from it which only served to smash my adrenals and thyroid more. The withdrawl was miserable. Severe depression and days on end of panic and fear. My cortisol was so low it wouldn't have sustained a mouse! This was 18 months ago. I am writing this because I want you to know that even though my adrenals were battered by such a toxic substance accompanied by months of withdrawl and life stress - they are recovering and continue to get stronger everyday! I know that this program is the final stage in my healing. I am into it 3 months and the improvements to my health are phenomenal. I feel quite well most days now. Adrenal fatigue is an awful feeling. It not only makes our bodies feel miserable - but it can wreak havoc on our thoughts and perceptions as well. In regard to supplements...I am holding off on niacin only because my gut tells me to. I have no basis for it other than the fact that I have gotten very good at listening to my body. I am on most of the other supplements on this program but I don't think my body is strong enough for this one yet. I have a hunch that I will be fine with it in 3-6 months just not right now. One step at a time huh? Hope all this rambling helps someone. Here's to our ever growing strength and good health! Love,
