Guest guest
Hello, Bee. I hope this message finds you well. Last night I passed one or more kidney stones (not sure how many really). It was extremely painful and difficult. Can you help me with this in any way? I've read that too much vitamin D can be a problem and kidney stones are an indication, because of the high levels of calcium. Are there things that I can do to help me minimize this from ever happening again, because it was unbearable and I ended up having to go to the ER to get hydrated, as I was vomiting several times and could not keep fluids down. Is this just a sign of detoxing/healing, or is this truly me doing something incorrectly as far as supplements are concerned, like vitamin D, A, or calcium/magnesium? I know I was taking very large doses of calcium before, for quite some time, but now I am consuming no more than 850 mg of calcium per day, which seems to be a reasonable amount with my adequate magnesium intake. Thanks so much for your help in advance. This really scared the crap out of me, to say the least. Best wishes,

It's strange you didn't have any prior signs of them, i.e. pain in the area on the left or right of the waist. ==>If you are following my recommendations you definitely wouldn't be getting too much Vitamin D or calcium! This may be a result of all of that calcium you were getting in several supplements. Didn't it total over 2,800 mg per day? Kidney stones are mainly caused by mineral imbalances; calcium is the worst culprit! > > Is this just a sign of detoxing/healing, or is this truly me doing > something incorrectly as far as supplements are concerned, like > vitamin D, A, or calcium/magnesium?
