Guest guest
Hello Everyone, I came across this " Trial " as I was researching clinical trials currently underway or in the process of recruiting. Thought it might be an effective way to get the word out on ldn. Maybe we could make a real difference. Trial Information Summary: A forum where you can give your views on the benefits and drawbacks of different treatments you have tried. Patients from any location in the US may participate. The study aims to collect information on what patients' think about their treatment options. This includes how effective different therapies are, how they changed your quality of life and whether you experienced adverse events. The aim is to understand why different therapies work better for some people than others. The process involves filling out a questionnaire online and only takes a few minutes. Please visit, http://www.axitus.com Everyone is welcome to participate. About Us Axitus Inc is a privately owned biotechnology company based in northern California. Our principal focus is to understand patients' experiences of healthcare. Axitus' first studies aim to explore patients' satisfaction with the prescription medicines they take for a variety of conditions. This will include understanding patients' perception of the effectiveness of their medicines and their experience of side effects. By enrolling in our study, you will be contributing to the understanding of how best to treat other patients with the same condition. Your knowledge can help others. To get a clear picture of how specific medicines work, we need to collect the diverse experiences of thousands of people. By volunteering for our study and sharing your own experience, you will be helping us understand how well these medicines work. How do you protect my privacy? As the studies progress, we hope to report some of our findings back to participants. This will allow you to see what other people think of the treatment available for your condition. Do you give medical advice? No. The results we report are simply a collection of opinions from volunteers in our studies. You should not use them to make decisions on your treatment. Always consult you physician for medical advice. My best to all, Lesa
Guest guest
Hello again everyone, Noticed my earlier in my earlier post about the " Trial " that the email address for Axitus, Inc. did not copy completely from their website into my post. Here it is: To contact Axitus, you can either email us at contactus@... or write to, Axitus, Inc PO Box 460165 San Francisco CA 94146-0124 Debbie, I think your letter from drs. already prescribing ldn is an outstanding idea, and if some were to be published in medical literature, as I noted in an earlier post, it could possibly give other drs. the documentation they need to freely prescribe it without clinical trials and without us jumping through hoops, etc. to convince them to prescribe it. Also, it isn't perfect but maybe this " Trial " would suffice for what you had in mind when you wrote: " Debbie Russo " <debbie_russo@h...> Date: Wed Feb 25, 2004 1:12 pm Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] Hi group... I have thought for a long time that it would be great to have somewhere on the Internet to go and see how many members there are in this group, the breakdown of their illnesses, the amount of LDN they take, what time they take it, how long they have been taking it, what other drugs they do, what supplements they take and how much.
