Dear Lynda,

I'm 56 and have had EN since I was in my early 20's. I have also

read that EN can be a result of mono. My feeling is that we have

different genetic predispositons to various illness and disease. I

would not be surprised if a common bacteria or virus is the culpret to

all our woes. We also have members who have both MS and EN on my EN

Group. In fact it is rare that a person will only have EN--in that I

am in the minority. When I formed the EN Group 7 months ago I wanted

to include everyone with a " related " illness as I felt we had more in

common than not, and that by talking together we'd discover

similarities. This hunch seems to be true. When I formed the group I

had never met another with EN and now we have over 120 members. Some

of us have a mild form and others suffer with a debiliting type. But I

have a good feeling that we will get further working together than

waiting for research that never comes.

Feel free to join my EN group at:

erythema nodosum/

We welcome everyone--we all have a piece of the puzzle to contrubute.

Best wishes and I hope the LDN research proves the cure we all so

much need.

Love,
