Guest guest
Kim, Now you've got me crying after I read this! Dont wait, do the phone consult. I got Dr M. Sullivan from this list, 717-591-0920. 20 min phone call at $5/min was $100, and he called the script into a Fairview pharmacy, 717-540-7031, experienced with LDN. I've kept doing Avonex while Im starting LDN (1mo so far, sleeping through for the first time in a decade!) If you keep doing shots, see if you can get a visiting nurse. This would make it less emotional, and they might have different techniques to try. I can't do the quick jab approach, I have to poke it in slowly, like I used to do Copaxone shots for 5 yrs. Icing the area beforehand sometimes helps. Maybe have hime watch TV while its going on too. Gosh I hope LDN can help your son! Im working hard at finding our how the reseach world works, maybe we can move this mountain and get the medical community to take note! --- In low dose naltrexone , " petessweetheart " > was switched to Rebif by the neuro, and the injections are just > killing him. Guest guest
Thanks, . Hopefully we are making some headway with our PCP...he's looking it over and discussing it with a neuro friend of his and supposed to let us know something tomorrow. Meanwhile, I'm standing on my head...As if that isn't enough to stress about, my son has strep throat now, which terrifies me, since an exacerbation usually follows most illnesses like this with him. I honestly think the Rebif is why he catches so many things, his immune system is too suppressed. Can't wait to kiss it goodbye...Regardless, I have your Dr's name and number, and a phone consult is my next move if the pcp says no. Take care, and thank you!
