Guest guest
Hi everyone, Since I found out that baking soda is antifungal, I am changing the vitamin C supplement recommendations. I am concerned that many of you may experience too many die-off symptoms taking sodium ascorbate, which is 50/50 ascorbic acid crystals and baking soda mixed and taken in water. Also I am concerned that when taking high doses of sodium ascorbate, like the Vitamin C Flush, that it will throw off mineral balances because baking soda is high in sodium. Instead I will recommend you take 4,000 mg of vitamin C per day from a tablet, taken in divided doses. If you wish to take ascorbic acid, which is cheaper, that is fine. But I recommend you do not mix it with baking soda. Instead, mix it in water and take it with meals since it tends to upset the stomach, and also rinse your mouth with plain water well after drinking it since it tends to be hard on the teeth.
