Guest guest
I am new to this group and am also starting LDN on Friday. My pharmacy is mixing it with Cellulose (sp?). Does anyone’s pharmacy mix it that way and is there a reason I should try to have them mix it with lactose instead. I was told by the pharmacy that too many people were allergic to lactose and that is why they don’t use it. I understand from reading the discussions in the last week that most people that have a lactose intolerance, don’t have a problem with it. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I should be starting LDN on Friday for MS. Since my doctor knows nothing about LDN treatment for MS, but was kind enough to prescribe the med for me, I'm wondering about a few things before I start. I take Neurnontin, Effexor XR and Xanax. The ABCR drugs didn't work for me and my doctor told me that since I was a more progressive type of MS, they wouldn't be beneficial to me anyway. My question is, do I need to stop the drugs I am taking before taking the LDN and if so, how long should I wait before starting LDN? I would appreciate any info. Have a great day. Guest guest
My pharmacy which is one of Bihari’s listed pharmacies mixes the LDN with Calcium Carbonate no questions asked but will fill with other ingredients like acidophilus if you like. I don’t think the filler makes a difference just ask the pharmacist to make sure the prescription is filled in fast release form. Guest guest
Hi , Dr. Bahari doesn't actually list the pharmacies, we do. But they are on the LDN site. Dr. Bahari uses lactose filler. I believe that Dr. Bahari is lactose intollerent, but says that there is so little in the capsule, that it doesn;t bother him. You are right that the filler doesn't matter as long it is fast release and you don't have an allergy to the filler. Guest guest
TY Sally my mistake through misinformation elsewhere. At Spotlight LDN or here it had been questioned why a specific pharmacy had been removed from the list and the answer back was because “Dr. Bihari” felt that the pharmacy wasn’t compounding it properly or some such thing… so I thought they were from Dr. Bihari. Thank you for the correction sometimes you never know the material you get through emails from the groups… Love, From: Sally [mailto:salpal@...] Sent: Thursday, February 12, 2004 12:03 AM low dose naltrexone Subject: [low dose naltrexone] Re: Starting LDN on Friday??? Guest guest
You shouldn't have any problems with cellulose.
