Guest guest
A woman just posted in a group that I belong to saying that she has a lot of breast milk left over in her freezer that she wants to donate but no one will take it because she is on synthroid, lol? She says she is on a " super low dose " and has " been on it for years " . She said that miniscule amounts of synthroid are indeed passed through to the milk, but she didn't think it mattered? So, I guess my questions are: 1.) Does her taking synthroid matter? 2.) If she was hypoT when she pumped, does that affect the milk? 3.) Ditto, but hyperT I mean, I obviously know how important it is to be in an ideal part of the thyroid level ranges, especially when pregnant and nursing, but if she wasn't - is that a valid concern for others? Thank you everyone, (It's been a LONG time since I've posted :-)
