24 hour urine iodine loading test

Hi,

Saw my endo today. Just out of curiosity due to the education of you

intelligent folks I asked her if she evers orders iodine tests. She

wrote me a script and said it will cost $70.00 and it is to go to a Dr.

Flechaus (sp).

Since we are on Social Security is this test crucial.

If I am low what type of meds would I be prescribed.

How does one know if they are low or perhaps high. If medication is

indicated how would one then feel - does it affect weight, cause

depression.
