This is just a total guess....but I would imagine somewhere in the mid 70lb

range. But of course, a lot has to do with how much muscle mass you have to

begin with. I am achon so I'm not too familiar with SEMD. You might want

to check with someone else who is. I am 39, achon as I said, 3' 10 1/2 " and

I currently weigh 88 1/2lb. But at the same time, each to his own on this

one, cause we're all built uniquely different, in one way or another..even

when and if we happen to be the same dwarfism type.

Hi there,

I think definitely the muscle mass would make a difference. I myself am 34,

4ft tall - my dwarfism type is Pseudoachondroplasia - and weigh 80 Lbs.

Most of it is all muscle cause I lift weights and exercise quite a bit, and

I feel totally healthy at that weight.....

Hope that helps.

Cheers

To All That Responded - THANK YOU!

I found your response to be each very interesting read, and perhaps even

helpful.

Thought I would like to add one more thing to this question so please

read read on....

Ok I mentioned that I am 33 and 3ft3 and that that I am SEMD. but I

didn't tell you why I am asking this question regarding ideal weight.

The reason I am asking that I have noticed a big change in my body

weight..now keep in mind this year has been the happiest I ever been and

I thank my husband Mark for that. But before Mark ever walked into my

view. My life as I knew it was extremely stressful during my childhood &

into my adult life for various reasons that I won't get into.

What I will say is that between the ages of 17 & 24 my weight then was

62 Lbs. During that weight I was stressed out and vomiting twice a day.

Then at age 27-30 my weight increased to 65 to 67Lbs.

My doctors told me be cautious when gaining weight being that I am small

framed, which of course made sense to me and I would continue to be

cautions. Now at age 33 and in my second marriage I am at my record high

with my weight. But one major difference this time is that I eat balance

meal which I used to skip often and secondly I feel for the first time

ever peace and balance in my life. It is really a glorious feeling if

you never had this in your life and then to actually feel peace within

myself and my life around me. I feel adored by my soul mate and I laugh,

laugh and more laughing.

So perhaps all that time I was stressful and very unhappy in my life and

feeling constantly hungry, yet I would at times ignore my hunger crave

especially after I ate not long afterwards. I always believed that my

metabolism was on over time. I consider myself a very active

person..friends that know me well would say I am hyper.

But the bottom line is perhaps I was under weight all those times and

now I am at the ideal weight that I should be plus or less. I think I

need alittle toning but that really about it. But again I would ask for

your brave input now that you had read the whole story as I know it.

One more thing! I am 80Lbs ugh..

Cheers!

Michele

  • 7 years later...

Where can I find out what our ideal weight is? I am down to 152 lbs

and a size 6/8. This is the thinnest I have ever been(highest 265 size

24). I am loving it but worried I will get too thin.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Kara
