Check your banking agreement to see if it's okay. > Ute Ute, Thanks! My Merchant Bank went into this with me when I first got our travel agency set up with them about 8 years ago. Before that we didn't accept CC's either. They explained that this sort of thing is extremely high-risk and cautioned against it, but also said specifically that is was not forbidden by their agreement. When they got done I was convinced to stay away it - forever! Fast forward several years, RA got very, very bad and I joined this group back in March or April of last year, whenever. I was overwhelmed with the support and caring. Last July my doc had me try the RA SPES. I came to the group for help about the ingredients, acted as sort of a guinea pig on it and got tremendous relief. But it was terribly expensive and no one could find a decent source nor come up with a way to home-roll it. I was able to get a good deal but it only helped me because my supplier didn't accept credit cards. So that's how the whole thing came about. We take CC's, they don't; The group helped me in many, many ways and needed cheap access to this herbal medication, but without using CC's there was no practical way for the group & the source to come together. So my wife & I talked about it and we agreed to setup the CC processing deal. We do NOT do it for their local customers - only for people in or referred by the group. We figured that would severely limit our exposure and thus, our risk. Also, we don't give them access to our terminals so it is very guarded, if somewhat cumbersome. We try to charge only what our actual cost is to do our end. Last year we called it pretty close, we only lost $17.00 between (I think it was) August and year-end. I didn't think $17.00 was a very big price to pay for all the help, support and encouragement I, my wife, and my family have gotten both directly and indirectly from this group so we were both happy with that. But... one foul ball of course, and it will all be out the window. So there is the risk. The way I figure it, the only people buying this stuff are those of us either in the group or that we know, people who really need it. So I don't think we have to worry about it on this end, at least I hope not. Thanks for the " heads up " ! Guest guest
Ann, I heard of the shots through other mothers of twins. It's given mostly to premature infants, but is very expensive around $1000 a shot per month, per baby. Guest guest
And a very Happy Thanksgiving to you all, from all of us. We had a crowd at our house. The good news is that everyone brought a dish or two -- so we didn't have to do all the work but ended up with the yummy leftovers anyway!! love debbi mom to Logan (6) Eli (DS) and Milo (4)

Guest guest
Hi , I just read your posting to Jeannie, and I have a question for you (or anyone else who might know the answer!). I found your website only a few months ago, and have been reading the postings ever since. This is the first time I'm posting myself. Just to give you a little background information, my name is , and I'm the mother of a 7 1/2 year old boy who has verbal apraxia, limb apraxia, and sensory integration problems. n has been in a BOCES special education program since he was 3 years old. He is making very nice progress. He is now capable of speaking with full words and short sentences. Of course, certain words are more difficult for him pronounce, and he usually eliminates letter sounds and/or syllables from those words. Sometimes it is difficult to understand what he is saying if what he is saying is out of context for the moment. Fortunately, he is very persistent, and repeats what he is saying until we understand him. Sometimes we still don't understand him, and that is frustrating for all of us (and heartbreaking for my husband and I). Anyway, I noticed that in your message to Jeannie, you referenced a few times that apraxia is genetic. Is there a known genetic link to apraxia or is it just an assumption at this time? I've never asked n's neurologist if there is a genetic link to apraxia. We went to see a genetic specialist when n was very young, but she didn't seem to know very much about apraxia. Thanks for your help. Your organization is doing wonderful things. Not only is it informative, but it's comforting to communicate with parents who understand your situation. Guest guest
For a little spring breather ... There are 6 pages of my photographer colleague's and my garden in the spring special garden issue of Woman's Day. It is actually both our gardens. The house pooch however, steals the show. Mr. Chips, a cockapoo is in the story twice and on the front piece once. He's up on a pedastal, which is exactly where he belongs. Hope you enjoy it. Guest guest
there is a person who posts to this group I believe, who does bottle cutting, I wonder if you could commission them to make one for you by cutting the ends off of two mason jars and then putting them together with a threaded mouth at each end its worth a try
Guest guest
Can You Drink TOO much Kombucha? I brew about 2 gallons a week, and as soon as the seven days is up I drink it until it's gone..I am talking eight 12 ounce glasses a day. I have NO adverse effects..in fact I feel great. Any comments from the group will be appreciated. ~Jeff Moldy Scoby's Aaack!!!! I went to make my tea today, got it all brewed. When I went to get my Kombucah, 3 of my 4 gallons my SCOBY's had gone moldy. [xx(] For the past 2 weeks my husband has been telling me he felt like he did when he had a yeast problem and I think it was from my " imbalanced " scoby's. [!] I've been battling for weeks to get them balanced with no luck. I've only been at this for a very short time, but the only good batch I had was my first batch. :-( I don't know what I'm doing wrong or if there was something wrong with my momma when I got it...but I got it from a reputable web site. I guess I'm going to have to order a couple new ones, but I'm almost tempted not to bother. I'm very frustrated. [V] Now of course, I have a small fortune invested in sugar, teas, and jars of numerous sizes, etc. I do have a question though. I did have 6 quarts of water, tea and 2 cups of sugar as I was going to make 2 jars of tea. Since only one of my four scoby's didn't have mold, I put it all in one large jar with the mommy scooby and the skimpiest baby scoby. Will this work or should I have had 2 jars?
