Yes, that's who it is, Noland. His last post to the group was 2/24. I'm not sure when I started to notice them, I guess some time last week?

I hope he's alright! Maybe the moderator can set him to No Email until this gets resolved?

Oh my goodness Marcie....isn't Dr. Pepper loaded with caffiene? I am one of

those people that cannot go near caffiene if I expect to get any sleep at

caffiene might be the problem with a lot of people. JoyceF

Welcome, Starchild. :-) I was headed to bed, but thought I would check my messages one more time.

You have to be very careful using ephedra. Yes it helps open the bronchial tubes, but it also can speed up the heart. Ephedra is used in a lot of natural herbal remedies like Breathe Easy tea. I used to have a lot of problems with bronchial asthma, and the tea really helped me. But if I dranked to much my heart sped up. :-(

Have you done a google search for it?

As far as I know Ephedra is the plant source for the more consintrated Ephedrine and according to the book Ephedra Fact and Fiction (which I managed to loose after I started reading I am getting the book again how ever) the Ancient Chinese used the Herb for Asthma 3000 years ago. It is only resently that both the herbs and drugs have been put to a misuse in Weightloss schemes and as speed in order to get High. This change in additute toward the herb seems to have lead to some very tragic results for a famous athelete whose name I can not remember that died from a heart atack after Over doseing on Ephedra while he was useing it for Vanity Weightloss (just had to get that 5 or 10 pounds off and he died doing it)Marty Cline <stompingelk@...> wrote: I think when I was younger, they had pills, called speed, they were mostly ephedreen[spell]]--- Joyce Hudson <bjoyfuliglou> wrote:> Welcome, Starchild. :-) I was headed to bed, but> thought I would check my messages one more time.> > You have to be very careful using ephedra. Goodmorning Star. It's been about 5 years, since I had to use Breathe Easy.

Early this morning I did some research into Ephedra Seneca. The result is, I doubt if you will find any seeds or plants. Our government considers Epedra dangerous, and has a lot of bans on it. And the FDA is down on it.

I even searched some obscure nurseries, and couldn't even find some that used to exist. Oh well, that's life.

Just in to eat. :-) And you are so right Marty. Ephedrine is derived from ephedra. It's used in weight loss. It helps other ingredients in a medicine get into the blood stream. And has been called speed. Joy

good point about the problem with gov't taking over

our critical thinking, they use it for betterment of

themselves, take the herb away and then they can make

you go to your doc and he will prescribe you some

meds. This has been the norm, with everything, there

must be a balance, even sugar, coffee, tea, ect..But

if gov't takes it over then we cant think for

ourselves.
