I, too, felt the 4.5 was too much for me, being I started getting very bad leg cramps. I called Dr. Bihari,he did tell me that it wasn't abnormal to feel what I was in the beginning of using LDN, but told me to take the 3.0 for a few days to see if the cramping subsided. It did, but found that I just wasn't feeling as good (other than cramping) as I did on the 4.5. This was all within 2 weeks. After calling him back, and explaining how I felt, I was told to start the 4.5 and just give it some time. When going back to the 4.5, I no longer had the cramping. That was a yr. and a half ago, and have been a 4.5 user ever since ~ without any problems. I guess my body just needed some time to adjust to feeling better!! Plus the fact, I stopped all my MS meds. a month before starting the LDN. That too could have played a part. But, I wanted to know ALL the benefits I would recieve from LDN without anything else masking it. The results.......Absolutley wonderful.

I'm not sure what to tell you as for how long you should wait, but if you are uncomfortable while taking 4.5 maybe it is just too strong and should get with your doctor before next month. Just a suggestion. The sooner you start feeling better......the better for you!

Good Luck

Carol

I was on 3.0 for 300 days, then ran a 4.5 trail. After 38 days I went back to 3.0 and that's where I'm staying.

If you're not sure, you can ask for your 4.5 to be filled with 1.5 MG capsules. Then you can take 2 or 3 each night. If 3.0 turns out to be best for you, then you can get the 3.0 MG capsules and just stay on 3.0.

Thanks everyone...I'm really bad about taking the Wellbutrin. Sometimes I take and sometimes I don't. I know thats bad, but I don't think I really need it. I'm not on any ABC's and when I was, thats when I was depressed. Now I don't get depressed except for the every now and then blue's..... I started to take it again because I a day when a bout of depression it me and the next day I was fine. But I got a little scared from that so I decided to start again... I guess you could say I'm doing the yo-yo affect...I have to make myself take it...As far as the LDN goes, I pushed my neuro to prescribe it. He said he didn't have anyone in his practice on it, so I said, Let me be the first. I told him I would be the ginnypig for this..The does he gave me was the 4.5, but its not playing nice with me...I called today, but he is not in the office. I'm going to aske for the 3 mg's and stay on it for a month and then back to the 4.5. Has anyone done that? Is a month to long??

There is no TOO long, except that you have too put up with whatever you have that you don't like for that time period.

Just take apart your capsules and dump out the third that you can, keep it in a sealed container and then you can add it too some empty capsules if you want to.

I don't recommend building your own 3.0 dose as it is too hard to measure acuratly, but dumping out one third works well.

I was on 4.5mg to start but I didn't feel right so I started to dump out a

little out of the 4.5mg capsule every night. So I figured that I was on

3.75mg. After doing this for months I went back on 4.5 and was doing fine.

I think that my body just had to get use to LDN.

---I do the same thing and it has been working well for me. I also

tried the dissolving 2 4.5 capsules in 15 oz of water and taking 5 oz

per night, but I didn't like it so I went back to taking the 4.5

capsule apart taking out 1/3.

I spoke to my neuro and he is sending me another script for 3 mgs.

I'm going to take the 3 for a while and the bump up to the 4.5... If

hte 3 works well and the 4.5 gives me trouble, then I will stick with

the 3.....

thanks!
