Guest guest
Hi n, I was talking to Dr. bob Lawrence about the Liquid Form of LDN yesterday. By the way I'm not on LDN yet as went through a battle with my Neuro for 8 weeks about it and got no where. I am getting it through another route now though, i.e Dr. Larence when he can supply me. Anyway I was asking Dr. Lawrence some differnt questons on LDN and possiblity of trials here in Ireland. He told me Dr. Hutchinson in Dublin did a little study on some of his patients a while back with the liquid form of LDN. He noticed no difference in his patients and stopped testing it further. Dr. Lawrence said he thinks one of the main reasons LDN didn't work for his patients was because they were using the liquid form which can become unstable easily. I know others think otherwise like yourself and the pharmacist from the compunder who does seem very knowlegeable but personally I wouldn't feel comfortable using the Liquid form from what Ive heard from Dr. Lawrence. I am goiong getting tablet form with calcium carbonate filler from Dr. Lawrence. It's important to me that I get the calcium carbonate filler too as I follow the Best Bet Diet. Many I know take the lactose filler but from what I've learned in that area my opinion now is that the calcium carbonate filler is the best bet. I avoid all dairy so lactose is out of the question no matter how small amount it is. > It's stable in water, according to a very reliable contributor (Larry > Frieders.. the compounder) and can even last up to a month unchanged.. other > sources (probably due to fears of contamination from hands, air, etc if > opening and closing a bottle) recommend 14 days max in fridge. Guest guest
Hi Again n, That sure is interesting alright ! How long is your wife using LDN now? Has she had no improvement whatsoever? Is she still taking copaxone too? I gave up my copaxone a few weeks ago now....and I'm glad I did. I've realised lately my head is so much clearer, and I've had absolutely no electric shock pains going through my head since I stopped...maybe just a coincidence who knows. Yes it is a pity that it's only free in liquid form. I am skint enough as it is at the moment but I still consider the price of the tablets so cheap capsules are free though here if prescribed from a consultant or am I wrong about this? Very few consultants are prescribing it anyway. My Neurologist is such a liar he swears Hennessey isn't prescribing it, but I know otherwise ;o) I'm in process of sending my Neuro another lenghty letter...I found his email address on the southern health board site a few weeks back ;o) He'll never see the back of me now lol and he'll know everything about LDN by the time i'm finished with him ;o) > Funny the only patient on capsules is my wife, and gues what? Guest guest
Yes, it's free so long as the consultant " orders " it, and the health Board agrees to permit it on the LTI book ----- Original Message ----- From: " " <@...> <low dose naltrexone > Sent: Saturday, March 27, 2004 7:30 PM Subject: [low dose naltrexone] Re: LDN Liquid Form > > Hi Again n, > > That sure is interesting alright !
