Joane...I've had at least 10 or more, the meds were so relaxing I would

kind of drift off. I was given that one drug (?) that pretty much erases

any memory of the procedure. and of course the spray.

BTW... thanks for all the sites. My files are bulging....I'm going to

have to spend time reorganizing them. You sure send some good stuff!

love jerry

Well it was ny gastros choice.... I had chronic bleeding varices and he

would sclerotize them..finally I had transplant and bleeding stopped but

I hace a lot of scar tissue..... I also usd to get transfusions every 3

weeks or so.

He was afraid I was too ill to get a shunt or TIPS since I had

encephalopathy.....it was his opinion and evidently the Cleveland Clinic

agreed.

At that time I had so many diffeent procedures that it didn't make much

difference to me. I also felt like a pin cushion . I've had so many

needles in me that I don't feel them any more.

BUT........ I am alive and ogling , I mean kicking. : )

God is good jerry

Debby,

I agree with Jerry. I've had about that many and I don't remember a thing. I'd do it again anytime. This for me was one of my easier test. I just tell them ahead of time I want good drugs and lots of them. They must listen because I wake up with no knowledge of what happened while I was out.

.....now I remember.....my gastro always gave Versed and

Demerol......a dandy little combination....the procedures always went

easily.....except one time when I was getting to much air and kept

belching loudly and trying to apologize with the tube down my

throat...he used the same combo for colonoscopies..

Only once do I rember discomfort not pain really but every time he

pushed it in farther........
