Guest guest
Dear Group, My hubby just mentioned that he thinks the reason that LDN and other non-mainstream treatments have such a hard time getting accepted is simply the fact that human nature is resistant to change. We like to build our knowledge on what we already know or think we know. So when something comes along that doesn't " fit " with what we " know " we are not comfortable with it. We say " Oh, that can't be right " We even dismiss the obvious out of hand. It is not so much a conspiracy as it is just human nature. This happens not only in medicine, but in everything in life. When we dare to look through the telescope we must often drop a lifetime of beliefs. This is not easy. But when enough people do take a look trough the telescope, a critcal mass, if you will, then change starts to happens...people know what they saw and will not go back to old beliefs that are not true. The impressive growth of this LDN site is testimony to the fact that more and more people are looking through the telescope. " Nothing is as powerful as an idea whose time has come " .
