Guest guest
Four years ago I could still run and ran a half mile (I know that's not far but I was pretty proud of myself) every day, sometimes every other day. If your tuning fork sensation is the same as mine was, no it didn't get any worse. It varied from day to day but didn't get worse overall. I didn't quit because of that feeling, I quit because I twisted my ankle at work one day. By the time it had healed I'd had another flare up and never tried running again. Maybe someday? Saturday night 6 couples slept out and left the kiddies with relatives. It was just after midnight and I had to go up to the room to take my LDN. I was just talking to someone about my experiences the last few months and told him about not even being able to run, or jog, or walk fast. I had told him I was only able to run like a total of 4 blocks in the last 2 years. 8/19 last year when I ran 1 block, then 2 blocks, and one time in November where I ran a block. I haven't tried every single day, but I haven't even been able to get started, the few times I have given it a go. So I got off the elevator and felt like trying again. I was on my way to take my first 3.0 dose, after 38 days of 4.5, so I wanted to see what it would feel like... I felt like Forrest Gump! Run Forrest, Run! I ran down the hallway, which isn't a straight-away, it makes a quick turn to the left, and then right. I was able to Open Up too. Not quite as fast as I used to be able to run, but when I realized my room was coming up, I flew Right passed it! Whoops! There's my room. LOL I went in and made my final decision to drop back down to 3.0 and took only 2 of the 1.5 caps. I felt slight tuning fork vibrations, my pulse was starting to slow down again and I didn't feel like I was going to fall over. I figured I would run back to the elevator if I could do it again. I wonder what it looks like for an elderly couple to see someone running at them in the hallway? LOL I started running, turned that left and right into the other corridor and just coming out of the elevator was an elderly couple. Well, I couldn't stop now! So I just waved as I whizzed by them. When I rejoined my group my pulse was racing along... I don't wear a watch any more, so I didn't time it, I was still catching my breath. My entire body felt like a tuning fork. But it felt GOOD! Maybe this summer I can work on running. They say we need to exercise, but every time I run if I get that tuning fork sensation, will it get worse after a while, or will it get better? I guess I'll find out if I can keep doing this. I think I was able to run faster than I did back in August and November, and I didn't feel like I was going to fall on my face... well, ok, maybe once, slightly, but I didn't, not like last year though. Over the next few weeks I'll see if I can do it again. I usually can't even get started, even walking fast isn't easy or sustainable. So I don't know if 4.5 has anything to do with it, or was just good timing Saturday night. So I'm back on 3.0, and I think I've noticed what was different... another day or two should paint a better picture.
