Study 2:The Georgia Institute of Technology is seeking a limited number of volunteers who are blind or visually impaired for a study that will be conducted from April through May 2004. The National Council on Disabilities Universal Design research project is conducting a series of focus groups to gather information about user experiences with ATMs, cell phones, distance learning software, personal digital assistants, televisions, and voice recognition software. Participants will be asked to fill out a survey, participate in a group discussion of their experiences, participate in a group discussion of accessibility features, and interact with sample products. Participants should have a general familiarity with the product lines but do not have to have experience with all 6 products. If participants own either a PDA or a cell phone they are requested to bring them with them. The sessions will last 2 or 4 hours, depending on the number of products to be evaluated. Participants will be paid for their time - $25 for a 2 hour session, $50 for a 4 hour session. The sessions should last no more than 4 hours and participants will be paid $50 for their time.
