Thanks !

I definitely have some trial and error ahead of me. I want to use as much

nonfat nondairy in my recipes. I bought the Vitamix to help adopt a healthier

eating. Lost 30 lbs before the Vitamix now goal is another 30 lbs with the

Vitamix. Trying to get our kitchen and pantry set up to fully utilize the

blender.

instead of dairy. Freezing cubes of nutmilk makes your drink stay nice and icy

when you blend it. I freeze cubes in ice cube trays, then store them in mason

jars (or ziplocks, if you dont mind plastics) once they are frozen. Welcome to

the group!

Congrats on the weight loss, Duane! And on adopting a healthier lifestyle.

This group and the Vitamix will help you on both counts!

I put a little nonfat dry milk in a lot of things, it's a great protein

supplement. If it's an iced drink I don't mind the taste and it's great to add

to baked goods as well. A few drops of vanilla are good. There are so many

protein supplements out there now too. Yes try things to see what you like.

It's amazing how good things taste made up in the vitamix. You are going to

have so much fun :D

My suggestion would be to find a good chai blend (Rishi's are excellent--I favor their rooibos ones but they're all good, including Maghreb Mint), brew it up, and then sweeten it as you like using whatever kind of milk strikes your fancy. You can also freeze either your chai or milk into cubes and get creative with that as well.

Just got my Vitamix blender this week. My wife is wanting a recipe for a Non Fat Chai Latte or you might call it a Chai Tea Frappachino. Anyway she also wants it to be healthy :) Does anyone have suggestions?
