Hello all,

I don't post very often but I read regularly. I started LDN 3 mgs.

Jan. 30 with no major problems exc. leg stiffness but this past week,

I have experimented chest pain once in a while, and I never had any

problems like that before. Anyone here with this problem after

starting LDN? Any comment or advice welcome. Thank you. Janette

Hi Janette,

I have had chest pains for years, arthritis in the ribs and spasms in the

small muscles in the chest wall. The spasms were what I now think were my

first MS symptoms, long before any vision disturbances or numbness. BUT, I

have been to the doctor each time the type and location of the pain changed

much just to be sure it was still my old friend and not a cardiac issue. I

even made an ER trip last fall because the pains were a lot different. That

time they turned out to be muscle spasms which I later realized were from

using my left arm to carry a box to the post office to send off to Iraq...

LDN has not changed the chest pains in the slightest, neither added to them

or reduced them, and I've been on it just a week less time than you.

Go see your doctor. If you can't tie the pains to an activity that caused

muscle spasms or soreness do not wait around to try to figure out what is

going on. While you very likely do not have any heart issue here you can't

afford to shine this on as nothing until your doctor has confirmed that

indeed there is nothing to worry about. Women have more deadly heart

attacks than men, especially the first time, because the symptoms are

different and often unrecognized.

It may be something as simple as sleeping in a different position now, or

sitting in a different chair. Perhaps you've added some new activity that

is causing the discomfort. But if you can't identify it don't shine it on

as nothing...

Hopefully you'll get enough responses to know if others have had pains like

yours, and if they have not you'll be able to let your doctor know that it

doesn't seem to be an LDN issue.

Best of luck,

(again)

It isn't that I have a lot to say today; it's just that it's too warm to do

much outside for long at a time, and my quads are tired of pulling weeds.

Hi ,

Thanks for your quick and detailed reply. I feel much better now and

will follow your suggestion and book an appt. with my GP on Monday.

My GP did not prescribe LDN, but my neuro did. I am not used to sore

muscles. You must live down South to have warm weather. In Canada, it

is still cold. Thanks again and be well. Happy Easter!

Ask your doctor to arrange for a cardiolite stress test. Ten years

ago I was having a burning sensation in the middle of my chest that

my doctor attributed to reflux. After more than a year, my friend

suggested the thalium or cardiolite test and when I had it, it

showed 90% blockage in two main arteries. I had open heart surgery

the following week for double bypass. So don't let your doctor call

the shots. You need to take charge of your own health.

Hello Edith,

Thanks for sharing your experience with me and for the tip on the

test to ask for. I feel better today but will be checked anyway. I'm

not one to accept anything drs. say, not to worry!
