,

Two weeks ago I reduced my ldn from 4.5mg to 3.0mg and started taking "Benfotiamine". It has helped somewhat. I had stiffness before ldn and still do.

Regards,

Tom

Good afternoon Al,

This is going to sound almost to simple, but if your wife is able to hit some kind of

health club or gym to do nothing else but stretch believe me it’s worth

it. I’ve had MS for over 20

years and I strongly believe in exercise and stretching. If she is able to do it first thing in

the morning, it really helps the stiffness a lot. I’m surprised even with a dose of

1.5mm you’re still being bothered by it. I hope this helps the two of you

out. Good luck!

LDN long-term & Stiffness

Importance: High

Good

evening,

I wanted to follow up on the side effect of stiffness. I know that I've seen

it addressed off and on over the months I've been on this board, but I didn't

pay the close attention that I should have - probably because it hasn't

affected me that way. My wife and I have taken LDN for about eight months now

- me for MGUS (smoldering multiple myeloma) and her for MS. She took a 3 mg.

dosage for about six months until the stiffness got to be too much for her .

.. . and then cut back to 1.5 mg. That seemed to help for nearly two months,

but now even the 1.5 seems to be giving her a lot of stiffness problems. I

guess I'm looking for suggestions as to where she can go from here. She

doesn't want to give up the use of LDN, but she doesn't want to have to deal

with the degree of stiffness and soreness that she's experiencing now either!

.. Anybody have any luck minimizing stiffness problems, and, if so, how did

you do it? Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

LDN long-term

There are about 10 of us at the

Histamine/LDN Message Board:

http://disc.server.com/Indices/148285.html

that started LDN in March 2000. We believe we

are the oldest Group

that has been taking LDN because we started

before Dr. Bihari

recomended it on his web site but right after a

story circulated that

his daughter's friend with MS had ! used it

successfully. Hundreds of

people on our Message Board star ted LDN after

us and I do not believe

anyone has ever reported stopping.

Only two negatives I know of are that some

people need to experiment

a lot to work around stiffness problems and some

people who avoided

colds and flu all their life may catch a few

after a few years on LDN.

Ooh to add to that if you can invest in an

exercise ball… you can pick up no name ones for like 8 bucks CAD call

stores and ask if they have em ;o) You don’t have to sit on them to just

get exercise from them you can roll on them belly side down and push back and

forth with your toes to stretch out the legs :o) I love exercise balls!!!
